Our excellent red wine Autor de Bocos, from the 2006 vintage, has won the GOL BACCHUS Award in the cometition held in Madrid from 14 to March 18, 2008.

The Bacchus International Wine Competition 2008, organized as before by the Spanish Tasters Union, counting on the support of the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs of Spain (MARM) and major international organizations World wine: the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), the International Union of Winemakers (UIOE) and the World Federation of Great Wines and Spirits Competitions (VINOFED), was held in Madrid in its eighth edition in the month of March 2008.

Bacchus 2008 record figures not only in terms of participating wines, with a total of 1683, but witnessed the largest gathering of international tasters of his twelve years of life, with more than 80 professionals from 17 countries.

As in past editions, Bacchus was governed under strict criteria set by the OIV for such competitions. This regulation imposes total anonymity of the participants list, which ensures total objectivity of assessors in evaluating them as well as the range of scores that are established when awarding the medals precious "Bacchus".

Señorio de Bocos present to contest our highly expressive wine "Autor de Bocos" of the 2006 vintage which was highly valued by the jury and awarded the Gold Bacchus award.

Red wine Señorio de Bocos "Roble", from the 2006 vintage, has climbed the podium after winning the 3rd place in the overall classification of the 2007 Envero Awards during VIII Week of Wine and Vine, held in Aranda de Duero between 26 and November 30, 2007.

From 26 to November 30, 2007, they were held in Aranda de Duero (Burgos), the ENVERO Wine Awards "Ribera de Duero" organized by the Hon. City of Aranda de Duero and with the collaboration of the Castilla y Leon through the Agricultural Technological Institute, the Control Board of the Designation of Origin "Ribera del Duero" and Caja Burgos.

Señorio de Bocos submitted to the contest one of its wines, the Roble 2006, and won the 3rd Prize for distinguished quality.

Hand the City of Aranda de Duero, the Envero Awards were born in 1997 with the specific aim of promoting the quality of the wines of Ribera del Duero. Over the years, its importance has grown and therefore parallel to the awards Week of Wine and Vine, a cycle in which the converging conferences, courses of tasters and sommeliers and roundtables great was established interest to wine lovers.

Gradually Envero Awards have become a benchmark within the Designation of Origin and this is reflected in the rise in the number of participating wineries.

Our red wine Señorio de Bocos - 'Roble', from the 2006 vintage, has been awarded the Gold Medal and has obtained the highest score of the Gold Zarcillo Awards 2007, organized by the Agricultural Technological Institute of Castilla and Leon.

The Zarcillo Awards is sponsored by the International Wine Office (OIV) and the International Union of Winemakers (UIOE), also it is integrated into the World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits Competitions.

The competition is open to all wine-producing countries of the world. The concept of wine taken into account is the definition adopted by the OIV.

This year the biennial competition broke its record of submitted wines, a total of 2,159 from 17 countries, including 1,370 red (1,940 Spanish wines come from wineries, among which 641 were from Castilla y León). The organization has cared retail handling and preservation of samples received they have been considerably exceeded in number and place of origin to the previous edition.

The various juries, have been integrated for a total of 72 tasters, half from outside Spain, which since Monday April 30 met at the Provincial Wine Museum of Valladolid, located in Valladolid Peñafiel Castle.
