Zarcillo Awards 2021 - Gold Medal - Señorio de Bocos 'Crianza'

Our red wine Señorio de Bocos 'Crianza', from the 2016 vintage, has been distinguished with the Gold Medal in the «Zarcillo 2021 Awards», organized by the Instituto Tecnológico Agrario de la Comunidad Autónoma de Castilla y León.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of the Board of the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León has made public the results of the latest edition of the international wine competition "Premios Zarcillo 2021". The XVIII national and X international edition of this contest took place in Valladolid between last October 14 and 17.

The Zarcillo de Oro Contest is sponsored by the International Wine Office (O.I.V.) and the International Union of Oenologists (U.I.O.E), and is also part of the World Federation of Great International Wine and Spirits Contests (VinoFED).

The contest is open to all wines from the producing countries of the world. The concept of wine taken into account is the definition adopted by the OIV.

Resounding success of the XV VinDuero-VinDouro Awards 2019

The VinDuero-VinDouro Awards, the largest International Wine Contest in Spain and Portugal, which this year has celebrated its 15th Anniversary, have launched for the third consecutive year MADRID in women, an event whose protagonists are WINE and WOMAN, in which they are presented , by the hand of its producers, the 10 highest rated wines at the VinDuero-VinDouro 2019 Awards.

The event consisted of a tasting designed exclusively for 100 women referents from different professional fields, which has been conceived as an interesting day of networking and social contact. The event has been an excellent opportunity to create synergies between Spain and Portugal and in which the lucky ones present have been able to meet and taste the excellent award-winning wines that are produced on both sides of the border.

Vinduero / Vindouro Awards 2019 - 1ª Gold Arribe - Señorio de Bocos 'Verdejo'

Our white wine Señorio de Bocos "Verdejo", from the 2018 vintage, has been distinguished with the 1st Arribe de Oro (94.5 points, the highest white wine score) in the 15th International Wine Competition "VINDUERO / VONDOURO" , whose tastings have been held on August 1, 2 and 3, 2019 in the Salamanca town of Trabanca, a cross-border space surrounded by amazing landscapes and excellent wines.

Resounding success of the XV VinDuero-VinDouro Awards 2019

The largest International Wine Contest in Spain and Portugal has established itself as one of the TOP Contests worldwide after the success of its XV Edition, III in women, which has had the participation of more than 900 wines. Among the novelties 2019, the incorporation of Special Awards to the Denominations of Origin and Geographical Indications of both countries with the best wines of each category has been highlighted, with a new one for Vermouths. Awards Ceremony in Pinhel (Portugal).

Behind these 3 three intense days of blind tastings the prestigious international jury has been able to assess the organoleptic characteristics of the 11 different wine categories of the VinDuero-VinDouro Awards.

In this new edition, the Tasting Committee 2019 has been composed of a cast of 50 tasters and tasters distributed equally at different tables to taste each and every one of the wines to make a summary of votes as subjective as possible when assessing the winning wines.

With the results in feminine (taking into account only the votes of the women members of the Tasting Committee) the participants in Prizes in feminine have been selectionated, for wines that obtain 90 or more points according to the Women.

Chosen the best Wines for Women

On the 9th and 10th of May 2019 in Espacio Bay the Way and in the Spanish School of Tasting, the final tastings of the International Wine and WOMEN 2019 Competition were held.

This veteran and prestigious event, which celebrates its XIIth Edition this year, is organized by Alamesa and has the recognition of the International Organization of Vine and Wine.

The Competition has the peculiarity of being the first world wine contest in which the opinion of women is taken into account individually, also rewarding the best wines made by wineries with high female participation. Since its creation in 2007, many competitions have been born with female juries, but none so far values the work of women who make wine.

More than two hundred different wines were registered covering all the categories of the Comptition, coming from 15 different countries, among which are as diverse origins as Slovakia, Uruguay, Chile, New Zealand or the United States, and representing a total of 34 international wine regions. The national participation was also very remarkable, with 70% of participating wines from up to 37 Spanish Designations of Origin.

The Jury, composed exclusively of women professionals from the wine sector and experts in sensory analysis, had 50% of members of international origin, representing countries such as France, Uruguay, Argentina, Italy, Bulgaria, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Portugal or Sweden. The high quality of the participating samples was evident in the Jury's evaluations and in the Awards' medal table.

Vinos Sub30 2019 - Gold Medal (94 points) - Señorio de Bocos 'Roble'

The jury of VinoSub30 was composed of agronomists, winemakers, sommeliers, professionals in catering and winelovers up to 30 years of age.

The VinoSub30 International Competition is organized by Wine Mind Consulting, with 15 editions held in Argentina, 5 in Uruguay and 1 in Brazil.

VinoSub30 is open to all wine categories present in the Spanish market, according to the definitions of the International Code of Oenological Practices. The tastings of the contest are rigorously blind. The event brings together all those wineries interested in knowing the preferences of the consumers of the future and who want to be present at an event with enormous potential for the sector.

The registration of the tasting scores was done digitally through the VinoSub30 Cata Digital application. This is an application for cell phones and notebooks developed by the organizers of the contest. Wines Sub 30 2018 - Gold Medal - Señorio de Bocos 'Rosado'

Our wine Señorio de Bocos "Rosado", from the 2017 vintage, has once again been honored with the Gold Medal in the "Sub 30 Wine" contest, held on March 1 and 2 at the Artiem Hotel in Madrid. The VinoSub30 contest has been held since 2004 and has 22 editions in Argentina, Uruguay and Spain. Mundus Vini 2017- Gold Medal - Señorio de Bocos 'Crianza'

Our red wine Señorio de Bocos "Crianza", from the 2014 vintage, has been awarded the Gold Medal at the 20th International Wine Award "MUNDUS VINI", held in Neustadt (Germany) on February 28, 2017.

Nearly 200 international wine experts from 44 countries spent the four days critically judging almost 6,200 wines from more than 150 wine growing regions all over the world, before then honouring the best of them with the highly coveted MUNDUS VINI medals. This was the highest number of wines from all over the world tasted at MUNDUS VINI.

The evaluation is carried out according to the 100-point system and is based on samples of smell and taste, as well as individual points awarded according to the directives of the International Wine and Vine Organization (OIV) and the International Union of Winemakers (UIOE.).

It is a mathematical scheme that provides for the assignment of weighted scores for the criteria "appearance", "bouquet", "palate" and "harmony / general impression".

Distinctions are granted following the joint decision of the jury. It should be noted that the composition of the jury presents a ratio of 4: 3 between international and German tasters.
